JOC Consulting is excited to be working with Hornsby Shire Council on getting the community involved in developing a values-driven and evidence-based Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS). Council is currently preparing the LSPS that will outline the future vision for land use in Hornsby Shire over the next two decades.

Meaningful community and stakeholder engagement is critical to the development of a vision and long terms strategic direction that is informed by solid scientific evidence and guided by community values and as.

JOC Consulting has been commissioned to lead the engagement and has designed an approach focused on informed public debate and inspirational conversations. We want to better understand what the community want for the future and to use the evidence and outcomes from the technical studies to debate what matters most; if we can’t have it all, what aspects of society are most important for our collective wellbeing – and what can we do as individuals to contribute to positive change for the community as a whole?

The engagement will deliver meaningful, diverse and bold solutions to initiate an inspired and motivated response from the community about the future of Hornsby Shire.
