Goal
Randwick Health and Innovation Precinct (RHIP) is one of ten entities across NSW to recently be awarded a grant of up to $400,000 from Transport for NSW for the Community Improvement District (CID) Pilot Program. JOC Consulting was commissioned by RHIP to facilitate stakeholder engagement and night-time scoping services for the pilot. The Heart of Randwick Collaboration pilot aims to unlock the potential of its public streets and spaces, fostering district-level collaboration through governance and branding exercises to reconnect with the community through a program of events.
Solution
JOC Consulting is currently undertaking high-level data collation and developing a tailored engagement program with key partners including Newmarket and ISPT, the Spot Chamber of Commerce, current and prospective residents, and the local health workforce. The engagement will explore current patterns of usage, opportunities for night-time economy diversification, and focus on creating awareness and buy-into existing work and the emerging Heart of Randwick brand identity.
Outcome
Once engagement is completed, JOC will detail findings and recommendations for the CID pilot in a summary engagement report. The report will include insights including local area demographics, desired night-time offerings and opportunities for diversification, potential visitor journeys, and the development of precinct personas. It is expected that findings will support evaluation and metrics of the CID pilot beyond the life of the project and the evolution of the Precinct into 2025 and beyond.
